TREATING SAGGING EYEBROWS(EYEBROW LIFT) WITHOUT SURGERYWITH THREADS)
EYEBROW
LIFTING WITH PDO THREADS(WITHOUT SURGERY)
Well arched eyebrows look very attractive whereas straight
eyebrows look unattractive, give tired and aged look.
· Some people naturally have straight eyebrows and in some
people with age the eyebrows start drooping and also cause hooded eyes.
· Now,
it’s possible to get lifted and well arched eyebrows
without surgery in a lunch hour procedure with the help of PDO
threads.
· PDO threading or PDO thread lifting is an effective non-invasive cosmetic
procedure that lifts and tightens sagging muscles and tissues of the face by inducing collagen and elastin production along the suture line to rejuvenate a “tired”
appearance.
·
Minimally invasive and perfectly safe, this face lifting procedure is performed using PDO (Polydioxanone) Threads, a synthetic bio-absorbable surgical suture and clinically proven bio-compatible material, which is now popularly used for skin lifting.
Minimally invasive and perfectly safe, this face lifting procedure is performed using PDO (Polydioxanone) Threads, a synthetic bio-absorbable surgical suture and clinically proven bio-compatible material, which is now popularly used for skin lifting.
· It is ideal for those men and women who are just beginning
to experience wrinkles on the forehead and drooping of the eye brow.
· This technique can effectively lift sagging skin and produce an excellent eye brow lift.
· With this procedure there is very little scarring and
virtually no
downtime.
· You can see an immediate
improvement after PDO thread
lifting with a visible lift in the areas treated.
· This will improve over a period of 2-6 months when new
collagen has formed naturally around the biodegradable threads or between the
threads which gives a further lift and tightening to the treated skin.
THE TREATMENT
Ø PDO threading takes between 30-60 minutes depending on various factors, such as how many
threads are used etc
Ø It is generally performed under local anaesthesia so you remain conscious and comfortable
throughout.
Ø Initially the area of skin will be numbed using either/both
a topical cream or a local anaesthetic injection.
Ø After this, the PDO suture thread loaded micro needle is injected into the dermis/subcutaneous layer
of the skin in the prescribed
area.
Ø The loop end of the thread is fixed to the target fascia and
the needle is then withdrawn leaving the thread along the needle tract.
Ø The surgeon gently presses the skin in the direction of
desired lift while holding the lower ends of the threads.
Ø In the same manner
multiple PDO threads are placed in a cross-hatching pattern to achieve the desired
lifting effect.
Ø These threads remain
implanted in the skin causing micro-injuries that stimulate collagen synthesis
and tissue contraction.
Ø After six months, the
threads will be absorbed into the body leaving new collagen in their place.
COMPLICATIONS
ü Any associated risk and complications are minimal compared
to more invasive surgery and are extremely rare.
ü Minor side effects
may include temporary swelling and bruising that lasts 2-3 days, but patients
can resume their normal activities immediately after procedure, but need to
refrain from exercise for 48 hours until the incision points have healed.
ü Patients may feel slight tightness or a pulling sensation
following the treatment but this subsides over a few weeks.
ü The treatment gives an immediate improvement and the threads
will form an integrated support structure for the tissue of the face due to new
collagen synthesis.
ü The lifting effect is at its peak 6 months later as the body
starts to generate new collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid. The PDO threads
gradually dissolve over about 6 months, but the resulting lift remains.
ü Lifting effect lasts between 3 -4years.
ü This varies depending on the patient’s age at the time of
treatment, the quality of the skin, degree of sagging and the number of threads
used.
ü Under the supervision of Dr Chetna Singh who is the Founder
of Carve & Sculpt cosmetic surgery and laser clinic, the team will discuss
the procedure with you before any treatment, explaining any possible side
effects.
